Winter/Spring 2024
January: We Are Water
Ruth Hardy Park, 10-12 Sunday January 28-FREE
Meet at the grass on the north side (Tacheva Rd) near the Wellness Park.
Bring water and a mat or blanket.
Inspired by how we humans are mostly water, we will move and groove with the water inside us.
Exploring water can help us connect with ourselves, with the invisible but lively interior of us. Somatic movement practices will help us explore our fluid nature. Adults are anywhere from 60 to 80 percent water and to experience this, we will weave guided movement meditations with playful and expressive frolic.
Buried under the busy striving of the day-to-day grind, buried under the brokenness of trauma, buried under the shallow, tight and distracted way most of us live, is an ease, a wholeness, a connected way of moving in harmony with our deeper selves.
In this workshop we create a conscious retreat from a fitness mentality to reconnect with our wild and inner nature.
February: Love Your Naked Body, for Women
Kimana Hot Springs, 12-2, Saturday February 17 - $80
RSVP to constance at constanceclare.com
Join us in this conscious retreat from the ideal of “fit” bodies and instead cultivate presence and appreciation in a private, beautiful and safe sanctuary with three hot pools and shaded spots for movement. We will reconnect with our deep pools of unhindered energy that is our wild nature.
As an antidote to our current culture of shame and embarrassment, we will co-create a space of healing, sustenance and joy.
Many of us have tried to tame our bodies, shape, sculpt them and keep them under strict control. Wrestling with perfectionism and a particular kind of fitness, we haven’t allowed our undomesticated nature to come out, to be affirmed, to luxuriate in other possibilities.
